Executive Management Reporting Tool for Large Midwestern City

Project Description

SDI was contracted to work with various city departments through its business department to create an Executive Management Reporting Tool for the city. The goal of the project is to utilize existing city application data to extract important operational and business information and deliver this information through a series of predetermined reports via an easy to use web-based user interface.

Goals

  • Creating reports created by extracting information from many disparate database and application files
  • Automating the current process for producing executive-level reports while reducing the amount of time it takes to find and extract the information from the backend systems
  • Helping city staff to make more accurate and timely comparisons of operational data thereby helping the city to adjust its operational and business practices to mitigate negative external influences
